Youth Employment Support Programmes (YESP)
As long-term youth unemployment is known to increase the possibility of prolonged unemployment in later life, lower incomes, and decreased well-being, our YESP will work to lessen that risk by assessing and creating individual employment plans that address the key areas that are potentially preventing employment.
This may include services/programmes such as CV and application writing workshops, interview techniques, job search skills, Employment and training advice, referral, and signposting to college/training providers.
Our training programmes acknowledge that preparing our youths for long-term employment requires them to make strides academically as well as develop the abilities and self-assurance to face challenges while acquiring work experience. YESP and its partners aspire to provide opportunities for our youth to gain work experience and apprenticeships with our local council / NHS / tech companies as well as voluntary opportunities that can lead to full-time employment.
